‘I’m From Chicago,’ Says Girl Who Lives an Hour And 16 Minutes From Rosemont

Rising University of Missouri sophomore Samantha Stein has reportedly been telling people at her new media internship that she’s from Chicago — even though she lives in Rockford, an hour and 16 minutes away from Rosemont. 

“I love living in the ‘Big City,'” Stein told her fellow interns, air-quoting Big City as if it were actually a nickname for Chicago. “There’s just so many great things there, like lots of people, cars, and buildings — all of it, I just love all of it.” 

When pressed by her fellow interns for what part of Chicago she was from, Stein said “west” before continuing to vaguely describe what any city looks like, including “its history, sports traditions, and oh-my-god, the pizza.”
