Florida State University’s fifth consecutive win against famous rival University of Florida drew nationwide attention last Saturday, prompting a congratulatory remark from new Texas A&M coach, Jimbo Fisher.
“Good job, you guys,” said the Aggies coach. “Glad to see the Seminoles slowly but surely improving this [football] season.”
A long-time coach and former player, Fisher is highly respected in the college football community. His praise would be momentous to any team in the country, so there is little doubt his remarks haven’t flattered the Noles.
“Good game, good plays. I saw some good strategic efforts on that field,” the experienced American football coach said about the game FSU won 38-22.
As Fisher is busy preparing for a press conference where he’ll be announcing his new job at Texas A&M, the Seminoles ought to feel lucky the coach took time out of his weekend to watch and reflect on their sports game.
“I saw some good throws out there, some nice passes,” continued Fisher in his positive assessment of Florida State football. “Looks like the team is really shaping up. Good for them.”
The ACC member and renowned football expert has successfully coached many teams in his lifetime, so he really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to football.
“I saw that touchdown too. Nice work,” said Fisher to sports reporters.
The Florida State athletes will hopefully use these special compliments as fuel to keep up the good sports and win some more games this year.
