5 Best Places to Drop on a GVSU Fortnite Map

Fortnite is a free survival combat game available on the PlayStation Store. Due to the release of this addictive game, students across Grand Valley have wasted countless hours sitting in a virtual bush, waiting to ambush enemy combatants. Blurring the lines between the game and reality, students are losing their social lives. Even when these game addicts show up to parties, all they can think about is where they should drop. With Fortnite taking up so much of our time, the only logical thing to do is to make a hypothetical Fortnite map out of Grand Valley’s Allendale Campus.

5.) Mary Idema Pew Library (Tilted Towers):
If you drop here, you have a death wish. This drop would be equivalent to landing in Tilted Towers. The typical definition of a shit show, this place is overcrowded, and no one knows what the hell is going on. If you enjoy getting lit up, drop here.

4.) Arboretum (Moisty Mire):
Not the worst drop zone, but don’t expect to find any loot. Only the weird people drop here. Although there isn’t much loot to go around, there’s plenty of wood to build a fort.

3.) Laker Village (Salty Springs):
This drop zone is for the people that think they’re risk takers, but all they actually do is camp. This is the area where everyone gets the grey pump shotgun and camp in the attic. People that drop here make it into the top 25 but have little chance of winning because they don’t have a good loadout and never engage anyone.

2.) Alumni House (Snobby Shores):
Far away from central campus, the odds of the first circle closing in the Alumni House are low. Dropping at the Alumni House is for the people that enjoy running. This drop is so-so at best; you may get a great loadout all to yourself, but there’s a good chance a camping sniper picks you off.

1.) Little Mak (The River):
This drop is for the campers in the game. They’ll drop and find the first weapon on the ground and go camp in a bush and wait until circle closes in on them. This is essentially no man’s land. If you don’t hide in a bush, a sniper will be the end of you.

Winning a solo battle royale is a gamer’s dream. Only people that risk it will get the biscuit in the end. Everyone’ll say their drop is the best in the game, but it’s unique to every player. Play to your strengths, and play your game. Most of all, enjoy the superb graphics of the newly updated virtual in-game bush.
