ISU Junior to Take All Gen. Eds Next Semester After Missing 8 a.m. Registration
ISU junior Shelby Morris, who as last spotted at Pub on Wednesday, woke up at 9:30 Thursday morning to sign up for her classes and was met with the worst.
“I went to sign up for my senior classes. Ya know, my capstone classes along with some other electives, and they were all taken,” said Morris.
Yes, Morris missed her sign up appointment and found every section of the classes she needed to schedule were full. Now she has to take freshmen level gen. eds for another semester. Instead of hitting her major graduation requirements, Morris will be learning about rocks and soil science…again.
“Ugh, I’m going to have to hang out here another semester! I only slept in for like, an hour. I talked to my advisor and she said there’s a 25% chance I get an override… So I should be good, right? RIGHT?!”
The chances of Morris getting an override for her classes are about as likely as her getting into a class that has at least one person who is legal to drink in attendance.
Morris, who was planning on moving to Chicago after graduation, is now struggling to find a place to live for the fall of 2019 since she is expected to be out of her current apartment at the end of that May.
