With the stress of finals and the holiday season approaching, fitness can often be overlooked, but it’s still crucial. That’s why, after over half a semester of dormancy, an area Spartan intends to finally get some use out of the IM membership he bought at the beginning of the year. Probably.
“I don’t know, it just seems like it’s time to get back in shape,” said sophomore Chris Eriksen. “I bought this membership, so I might as well get some use out of it. Tomorrow seems like as good a time as any to start pumping iron.”
According to Eriksen, he plans to wake up at 6 in the morning to get a work out in before his 9:10 class. Unless something comes up, you never know really.
“I don’t think he has it in him,” said Eriksen’s roommate Paul Dickerson. “This kid could barely get himself out of bed for class before, what makes him think he can get up even earlier to work out? And even if he does make it, the more fit people are going to intimidate his bum ass.”
Despite the doubt of his roommate, Eriksen remains mostly confident that he’ll be successful in his endeavor.
“Despite what the doubters might say, I’m committed to this,” said a confident Eriksen. “I just spent $20 on a tub of protein powder. I’m clearly all in.”
As of press time, Eriksen had just turned off his early morning alarm after “something came up.” “Definitely tomorrow though. Definitely.”
