San Antonio, TX: The day after going undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft, Kentucky guard Aaron Harrison’s mother guaranteed him that she’ll still love him the same as his identical twin brother, Andrew Harrison, who was drafted with the Suns with the 14th pick in the 2nd round.
“I love my two boys equally,” mother Marian Harrison said, clutching tight the Gucci vintage handbag her rich son Andrew purchased her as a “just because” gift.
A “UK Mom” t-shirt that Aaron got her for Mother’s Day lay crumpled at her feet.
“I wouldn’t say that everything Aaron’s worked for up to this point has been a total waste of time,” Marian said, a smile fading quickly from her lips, “But I’m not really sure how I’m supposed to finish that sentence.”
Andrew Harrison will negotiate a non-guaranteed contract worth several hundred thousand dollars. Aaron Harrison, on the other hand, will not have a contract for anything.
Marian, along with her husband Aaron Sr., live comfortably in San Antonio, Texas. She notes she has offered to pay Aaron for work he does around the house.
“He’ll get $25 if he does a good job mowing the lawn, and another $5 if he does the dishes. He better hurry up, though, Andrew offered to do them for free!”
